Privacy policy

01

Our commitment

Trust is at the heart of our work. When you entrust us with your details in connection with an enquiry, a rental or sale file, an acquisition project or a valuation, we process them with care and confidentiality.

02

Controller

The controller of personal data collected on this site is Félicité & Compagnie SA, 33 rue des Bains, 1205 Genève. For any question relating to data protection: info@felicite.ch.

03

Legal framework

Our processing is governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and its implementing ordinance (DPO). Where our processing activities fall within its territorial scope, in particular where we offer certain services to persons in the European Union or monitor their behaviour under the conditions set by European law, the General Data Protection Regulation may also apply. In that case, the additional information and rights provided for by the GDPR apply to the processing concerned.

04

Principles applicable to processing

We process your personal data in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, good faith, transparency, proportionality, security and limitation to the stated purposes.

The transmission of data needed to handle an enquiry, an application, an acquisition, a rental, a valuation or a mandate does not necessarily rest on your consent. We process that data in order to follow up the steps you initiate, to prepare or perform a contractual relationship, to ensure the operation and security of our services and to comply with our legal obligations.

Where your consent is required, in particular for certain cookies, certain commercial communications or certain optional processing, we provide the necessary information before collecting your choice. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without that withdrawal affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out previously.

Where the GDPR applies, processing is based, depending on its nature, on the performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests or your consent.

05

Data collected through our forms

Our site provides contact and request forms (property enquiries, rental application files, valuation requests, appointment booking). Depending on the form used, we collect:

– your identification data: title, last name, first name;

– your full contact details: postal address, email address, telephone numbers;

– the content of your request: property concerned, free-text message, contact preferences;

where applicable, information specific to a rental or acquisition file that you choose to send us. Such data may cover the following categories: employment situation; employer; income; household composition; solvency; extract from the debt-enforcement register; references from previous landlords; identity documents; residence permit; financial data needed for a mortgage pre-qualification; documents uploaded by the applicant; property preferences and search budget.

Only data strictly necessary to handle your request is required; optional fields are marked as such. Our general contact forms are not intended to collect sensitive personal data. We ask you not to send us such data through a free-text field, except where it is necessary to handle your request or expressly required in a given procedure. Where additional documents containing confidential information are needed, we tell you what to send and, as far as possible, provide a secure channel.

06

Automatically collected data

When you browse, certain technical data is recorded by our systems: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, date and time of connection. This data is used mainly to ensure the security, stability, operation and improvement of the site. It may constitute personal data where it makes it possible to identify you directly or indirectly.

07

Sources of personal data

We collect your data mainly from you, in particular when you fill in a form, contact us, subscribe to an alert, request a valuation or send us a file.

We may also receive certain data from property portals, owners, landlords, developers, professional partners, related companies, lead-generation providers or persons who have given us your contact details. We may also consult registers or publicly accessible sources where this is necessary for our activities and permitted by law.

Where data is not collected directly from you, we inform you of the processing under the conditions and within the time limits provided by applicable law, subject to legal exceptions.

08

Purposes of processing

Your personal data is processed in order to:

– Respond to your enquiries and contact requests and follow them up;

– Compile and process the rental, acquisition or mandate files you initiate;

– Send you information about our properties, projects and services that may interest you, where you have requested it, where the law allows or with your consent where consent is required;

– Produce traffic statistics and improve the browsing experience;

– Manage your subscriptions to alerts, newsletters, events and interest lists, as well as your communication preferences;

– Comply with our legal obligations, including anti-money-laundering rules where the law so requires.

09

Assistance tools, profiling and automated decisions

We may use digital tools or artificial-intelligence features to help organise, classify, qualify or prioritise requests, in particular according to the property sought, the stated budget, the desired location, the progress of the project or interactions with our communications.

These tools are intended to assist our staff in following up requests and personalising our services. They do not on their own take decisions producing legal effects or significantly affecting the persons concerned. Decisions relating to the acceptance or recommendation of an application, the conclusion of a mandate, the allocation of a dwelling or the continuation of a contractual relationship are not taken exclusively by an automated system and are subject to human assessment.

If we were to implement a fully automated individual decision producing legal effects or significantly affecting a person, we would inform that person in accordance with applicable law. The person concerned could ask for the decision to be reviewed by a natural person and put forward their point of view, under the conditions provided by law.

10

Commercial communications, alerts and newsletters

When you subscribe to a newsletter, a property alert, a project interest list or ask to receive commercial information, we use your contact details and, where applicable, your search criteria to send you the corresponding communications.

Our communications may in particular cover available properties, new developments, events, market studies or services offered by Félicité & Compagnie SA.

Where the tool used so allows, we may record information relating to delivery, opening and interactions with our messages, including links consulted. This information allows us to measure the relevance of our communications, improve their content and, where appropriate, adapt them to your interests.

You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in each communication or by contacting us at info@felicite.ch. Withdrawal of your subscription does not apply to communications strictly necessary to perform a contract, follow up a request or comply with our legal obligations.

We keep the information needed to manage your subscription until you unsubscribe. After that, the minimum information needed to document your request and prevent any further sending may be kept for three years, subject to a legal obligation or the defence of rights.

11

Electronic communications: scope and risks

Sending a form or an email through this site is a mere first contact: it creates no contractual commitment on either side and cannot be treated as a transaction, a reservation or the conclusion of a contract. Furthermore, any communication travelling over the Internet uses an open network accessible to third parties: despite the encryption of exchanges that we implement, certain metadata (sender, recipient) cannot be protected absolutely and the confidentiality of email cannot be fully guaranteed. For the transmission of confidential documents or complete files, we are happy to offer a secure channel on request.

12

Cookies, pixels and audience measurement

When you consult our site, cookies and other similar technologies may be placed or read on your device. A cookie is a small file stored on your computer, tablet or phone. It makes it possible in particular to remember your privacy choices and, where you have consented, to measure traffic or display certain content provided by third parties.

These technologies may be implemented directly by Félicité & Compagnie SA or by third-party providers acting on our behalf.

Our site may use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies.

Strictly necessary cookies: one cookie remembers your privacy choice; on form pages, where bot protection is configured, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the submission comes from a person. These cannot be switched off through our preference-management tool. You may nevertheless configure your browser to block them, with the risk that the consent banner will reappear on every visit or that a form can no longer be sent.

Audience-measurement cookies: where this tool is configured, it is Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC). Until it is configured, no audience-measurement cookie is set and this service does not appear in the preference-management tool. When it is active, and only after your agreement, the first-party cookies _ga and _ga_ followed by the measurement ID (2 years each) distinguish visits and persist session state. The information processed may include pages viewed, time spent, the approximate origin of the visit, device type, browser used or a technical identifier.

This tool is loaded only after your choice has been recorded in our preference-management tool. Google Analytics 4 does not record the IP address in audience reports. Audience-measurement data is kept in the tool for 14 months at most.

Functional cookies and external content: subject to your preferences, certain content from external services may be displayed. Today, the only such service is the Google Maps plan on the Contact page, loaded only after your agreement. If other services are later integrated, this policy and the preference-management tool will be updated accordingly, and those services will be activated only after your choice where consent is required.

Advertising cookies and campaign tracking: at the launch of the site, no cookie, pixel or similar technology for advertising or campaign tracking (including Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag) is used. If such tools are later implemented, they will be used only with your consent where consent is required, and this policy and the preference-management tool will be updated accordingly.

Managing your preferences: on your first visit, a banner and then a preference-management tool allow you to accept or refuse cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary. Optional cookies are activated only after your choice has been recorded. Refusing optional cookies does not prevent access to the essential content of the site. You may change or withdraw your choice at any time by clicking the "Gérer les cookies" button (icon at the bottom right of every page). Withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before that withdrawal. You may also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. These settings vary according to the browser and device used.

Retention period: the lifetime of cookies depends on their nature and purpose. Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser, while others may be kept for a set period. The names, purposes and durations of each service also appear, service by service, in the preference-management tool. Your cookie choice is kept for six months, after which you may be asked to renew your preferences. You may also be asked to renew them in the event of a substantial change to the tools used.

Providers and transfers abroad: certain providers of audience-measurement, external-content or advertising services may process data outside Switzerland, in particular in the European Economic Area or the United States. Further information on those transfers and the safeguards in place appears in the "Hosting and transfers of data abroad" section of this policy.

No obligation to accept optional cookies: you are not required to accept audience-measurement cookies, non-essential functional cookies or advertising cookies in order to consult the essential content of our site. Where certain external content cannot be displayed without transmitting data to its provider, it remains disabled until you have expressly authorised it.

13

Recipients and processors

Your data is accessible only to Félicité & Compagnie SA staff authorised to handle your request. It may be transmitted to technical providers acting on our instructions, who are contractually bound to confidentiality and security obligations equivalent to ours, in particular:

– Vercel Inc. (hosting and delivery of the site);

– Neon (database);

– Cloudflare (media storage);

– Render (technical gateway);

– Immomig SA (real-estate CRM — processing of contact, enquiry and file requests initiated via the site; the site does not retain those requests lastingly);

– Resend (sending of transactional emails, in particular HR applications with attachments and, where applicable, fallback notifications).

Communication to third parties (notaries, landlord owners, developers) takes place only where necessary to perform your request and to the extent required. Where applicable, with your agreement, your contact details may also be shared with companies related to Félicité & Compagnie SA, namely Promoholding SA, in order to present complementary properties and services to you.

14

Hosting and transfers of data abroad

Processing linked to the site is designed to favour execution and storage in Switzerland or the European Economic Area. Some of our providers (in particular Google LLC for Google Analytics 4, as well as providers whose registered office or group is in the United States) may process data outside Switzerland. Where a country does not benefit from an adequacy decision of the Federal Council, we rely in particular on standard contractual clauses recognised in Switzerland, supplemented where necessary by additional measures.

15

Retention period

Your data is kept for the time needed for the purposes described above:

– Contact requests: 24 months after the last exchange;

– Unsuccessful application files: 6 months after allocation of the dwelling concerned or closure of the application, unless there is agreement to a longer retention with a view to other offers or a need linked to the establishment, exercise or defence of rights; supporting documents that are no longer necessary, in particular copies of identity documents, proof of income and extracts from the debt-enforcement register, may be deleted before that period expires;

– Contractual relationships: duration of the contract, then retention in accordance with Swiss legal obligations (10 years, art. 958f CO);

– Audience-measurement data: 14 months at most.

At the end of these periods, the data is deleted or anonymised irreversibly.

16

Security

We implement technical and organisational measures proportionate to the risks: encryption of exchanges (TLS protocol), access control, secure hosting, awareness of our teams. As the transmission of data over the Internet cannot be guaranteed absolutely, we invite you to send through our forms only the information needed for your request.

17

Your rights

In accordance with applicable law and under the conditions it provides, you may in particular:

– Obtain information about the personal data we process about you;

– Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;

– Request, where the legal conditions are met, erasure of data, cessation or restriction of processing, or object to certain processing;

– Request, where the legal conditions are met, the provision of certain personal data in a commonly used electronic format or its transmission to a third party;

– Withdraw your consent for processing that is based on it.

Any request may be sent to info@felicite.ch. We may ask you for additional information allowing us to verify your identity where this is necessary in order to avoid disclosing data to an unauthorised person. Access requests are handled within the legal time limit, in principle within 30 days. Other requests are handled as soon as possible, given their nature and complexity. You also have the right to contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern.

18

Changes to this policy

This policy may be adapted to reflect the evolution of our services, our tools or the legal framework. The version in force is the one published on this page, with an indication of its update date. Last updated: August 2026.
